Luggage a problem when Travelling ? organise your packing.
By Lyn King, TFC member
Packing is probably the least pleasant part of travel. Deciding what to take–and making it all fit–frustrates even the most seasoned traveler.
With careful pre-planning and some useful tips on how to keep items neat and organized, packing can be quick, efficient and easy.
Make a List! Think of what you’ll need for the events of each day from top to bottom - doing so will ensure that you don’t end up playing tennis in dress socks.
Pack Light! Do not over-pack your bag. Airport screeners will have a difficult time closing your luggage if selected for inspection, which will only lead to wrinkles and the potential for lost articles. Plus, packing your backpack only two-thirds full will leave room for snacks and souvenirs.
Take Travel Sized Toiletries! Don’t try and pack the entire contents of your medicine cabinet and leave more room for that cute pair of strappy sandals. Look for products that offer multiple 2-in-1 convenience or items that are smaller sized.
Roll it Up! The last thing you want to do on vacation is iron! Rolling your clothes will allow you to fit more in your suitcase and cut down on wrinkles.
Pack Smart! Never pack jewelry or valuables and be sure to clearly label your luggage inside and out with your most updated address and contact information.
Follow these simple tips, and packing for your next trip will be easier. You’ll be so prepared, you’ll have the peace of mind to relax and truly enjoy your vacation.
